First of all, thank you for visiting this blog! Whether you are discovering the healthy and delicious word of organic ingredients, or planning a party and want to impress your guests by serving organic cocktails with a fit twist, I hope you will find the information here fun, helpful and healthy!

I found myself at this blog when a few of my worlds collided:

First of all, when I was 11 years old, I stepped away from my Minnesotan roots (meals of mostly meat and potatoes) and declared myself a vegetarian. Needless to say, since then, I have considered myself a healthy consumer of fruits and vegetables and thought that I was steps ahead of the other carnivores of this world…that is, until, I learned the huge difference of what is organic and what is NOT.

Fast forward almost 20 years and my second daughter is just turning one. After many doctor visits over frustrations of the itchy, scratchy rash on her cheeks, we realize that she has allergies to almost every food including wheat, dairy, soy, eggs, all fruits (except for  cantaloupe, which she doesn’t like), well the list goes on and on. Needless to say, I began looking into all of the foods that I was buying at the grocery store and what I found was shocking. Not only was I completely unaware of many of the hidden ingredients in foods we were consuming, but I learned about the drastic nutritional benefits of organic foods along with the alarmingly dangerous health concerns on eating non-organic products.

The final step in the path to this blog is that my family and I made our dream decision and moved from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara, CA. In Santa Barbara, I am surrounded by many local farms and there are daily farmers markets which offer organic produce. This has given me the chance to learn all about the health benefits of organic produce, farming techniques, and much more which I will share with you on this blog.

My passion for organic foods expanded to beverages when I noticed that an adult may eat an amazing meal with organic ingredients, but then walk into a bar and order a drink made out of ingredients soaked in chemicals. I realized there is a strong (and fun) need for organic cocktails. The concept of Organic Fit Bar is to create delicious, healthy, organic cocktails and bring awareness to the amazing organic alcohol companies that exist along with the benefits of organic ingredients. While many of us are aware of eating organic, there is not that many options of drinking organically, and yet, it is just as important! Not to mention, tastes WAY better. So far, there are some nice and trendy bars who feature organic cocktails, which is great, the only problem is that they often contain ingredients that are difficult if not impossible to obtain. So here at Organic Fit Bar, my goal is to create and discover 100% organic cocktails that anyone can make and everyone will enjoy!
