Looking for an organic cocktail recipe that is simple and the perfect new twist on a classic margarita? Try the “Earth, Sun and Fire” 100% organic cocktail. Perfect for Cinco De Mayo or a warm summer evening, this alcohol beverage is made with organic jalapeno infused tequila, half of an organic tangerine, half of an organic lime and 1/2 ounce of agave nectar.
To make this fresh cocktail, first infuse the tequila with fresh and organic jalapeno peppers. The infusion only takes 24 hours and is very simple to complete. Slice 2 jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and place in a jar that can be completely sealed. Pour half of a bottle of organic tequila over the jalapenos and seal. Place in a dark place for 24 hours. When complete, strain the tequila to remove the jalapenos and seeds. Cover and let cool in the refrigerator.
Once the jalapeno infusion is complete, add 1/2 of a tangerine (with the peel still on), 1/2 of an organic lime with a squeeze and 1/2 ounce of agave nectar into a cocktail shaker. Muddle well until all of the juices are combined. Add 1 cup of ice and 2 ounces of the jalapeno infused tequila. Cover and shake well. Pour into a rocks glass. Cheers!
